DESCRIPTION:The Sandusky County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the grand opening of Fremont Connections\, a new organization dedicated to providing a safe and neutral environment for families. The celebration will take place on Thursday\, October 3rd\, at 4:00 PM\, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 350 Rawson Ave.\, Fremont.\n\nFremont Connections is committed to supporting families by offering a neutral space where parents can visit with their children in a safe environment. By partnering with local courts and child protection agencies\, the organization works to ensure that families receive the guidance and support they need\, fostering improved family dynamics and building trust within the community. The services provided by Fremont Connections will be offered at no cost to families and will be available seven days a week.\n\nEarlier this year\, the Sandusky County Commissioners approached Mircea Handru\, Executive Director of the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board of Seneca\, Ottawa\, Sandusky\, and Wyandot Counties\, to oversee the transition from Village House to Fremont Connections. Handru brought on Marisa Moya as Executive Director\, who also leads the local nonprofit Heartbeat Hope Medical\, and Tami Ward as Administrative Director. Ward\, the former director of the Sandusky County Job and Family Services' Children Services division\, brings extensive experience to the new organization.\n\nAttendees of the event will be given a tour of the newly renovated facility\, which has undergone significant upgrades thanks to the support of the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board\, the Sandusky County Board of Developmental Disabilities\, and the Sandusky County Commissioners. These renovations\, funded by $200\,000 from the American Rescue Plan Act\, have transformed the interior of the home into a welcoming space for families.
