DESCRIPTION:This meeting will be held at the Doepker Center\, Room B101.\n\nJoin us for our upcoming Safety Council meeting. These monthly meetings take place on the first Thursday of each month at the Neeley Center from 11:30 am to 1 pm. Just a friendly reminder\, members of the safety council are required to attend a minimum of 10 meetings during the fiscal year 2026 to qualify for a rebate on their workers' compensation premium.\n\n\n\n Topic of this meeting: Fraud Prevention\n\nWith the increase in fraud specifically targeting businesses\, non-profit organizations public entities\, Croghan has put together a fraud prevention program you won't want to miss.   We'll review live examples of the various methods fraudsters use so you can prevent it\, detect it and help to mitigate your losses should it happen to you.\n\nSpeaker: Shantel Laird\, AVP\, Senior Commercial Deposit Officer\, Croghan Colonial Bank\n\nWith over 30 years in banking and finance\, including 25 specializing in Business Depository Customers\, Public Funds\, and Cash Management Services\, Shantel brings a wealth of expertise to her role as Senior Commercial Deposit Officer. Her extensive background encompasses lending\, collections\, branch operations\, and more\, as well as various supervisory roles. A true educator at heart\, Shantel enjoys teaching customers how to navigate financial complexities and empowering business owners and public entities to improve the quality of life for countless families and communities. A notable accomplishment was her crucial involvement in securing initial PPP loans for businesses during a critical time. Committed to the community\, Shantel is a former eight-year elected member of the Public School Board and continues to support youth education. In her free time\, she enjoys spending time with her family\, hiking\, and contributing to her "Soul Sisters" sewing group.
