DESCRIPTION:Join us for our upcoming Safety Council meeting. These monthly meetings take place on the first Thursday of each month at the Neeley Center from 11:30 am to 1 pm. Just a friendly reminder\, members of the safety council are required to attend a minimum of 10 meetings during the fiscal year 2025 to qualify for a rebate on their workers' compensation premium. \n\n\n\nTopic of this meeting: What To Do When OSHA Shows Up\n\n\n\nSpeaker: Julie Reynolds\, Ergonomics Consultant\, BWC\n\n \n\nJulie Reynolds has been an Ergonomics Consultant for the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation-Division of Safety & Hygiene since January 1999. She has been able to assist companies with reducing their number of musculoskeletal disorders through job evaluations\, training and awareness and the development of an ergonomic process for the workforce. Her experience ranges from assembly and manufacturing to office and health care environments. She is also actively involved in the BWC Safety Grant program that provides employers with funds to purchase interventions that will reduce/eliminate injuries they have experienced in the past. Julie is an authorized OSHA General Industry instructor and has provided OSHA 10 and 30-hour training for numerous companies and their employees to enhance safety awareness.\n\nPrevious to working for the Division of Safety & Hygiene she was the Safety Coordinator at Brush Wellman in Elmore\, Ohio for 7 years. Julie graduated in 1990 from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Chemistry.
