After graduating from Brigham Young University with a BA in Political Science, Les enlisted in the Navy Reserves as an Intelligence Specialist, where he served for the next 12 years. During this time he also worked in the Michigan Senate on the staff of the Secretary of the Senate developing Special Projects. Les worked his way into a management career spanning over 20 years in various management roles Starting as a front line manager Les relocated his family from Michigan to Ohio in 2006 and eventually worked as an area manager with a territory covering 4 states, over 65 remote locations and managing over 150 employees. In 2007 he was bitten by the political bug and began volunteering heavily for the Romney effort in both the 2008 and 2012 election cycles. Following the 2012 election Les took a dramatic change of course and began working full time as a Regional Field Director for the Ohio Republican Party. Following the 2016 election Les worked on several small political projects and in July 2017 was appointed as a Regional Advocate for SBA’s Office of Advocacy, working out of Columbus, Ohio.
 
Les is married to Crystal Davies and is a proud father to 10 children and 19 grandchildren. He currently serves as a Sunday School President in his church and works with his wife on annual food drives in his community of Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
 
Les actively travels to all of the 6 states in his region and meets with hundreds of small business stakeholders annually, listening to their regulatory concerns and promoting the Office of Advocacy and its role as the independent voice for small business within the federal government.
